Hey everyone! I’m Hannah, living my silly little life in Chicago, IL.

I created The Sunny Deposition on a whim after realizing a dream of mine was to share my writing and some of my deepest thoughts. I want to write to change perspective, to help, to educate, and to relate.

But, you may be wondering, why The Sunny Deposition? So, here’s a little explanation behind the name:

According to the Legal Information Institute at Cornell a deposition is “a witness's sworn out-of-court testimony. It is used to gather truthful information as part of the discovery process and, in limited circumstances, may be used at trial.” In short, it is a process of giving sworn evidence.

When brainstorming what I wanted to call this blog, I knew I’ve been known to have a “sunny disposition”. But how cool would it be to do a play on words?

The Sunny Deposition is essentially a place to relate to the discovery of ourselves through the hardships we experience and hard lessons we learn. Essentially, the “sworn evidence” and “truthful information” that we gather as we grow into ourselves. Life isn’t always fair or kind to us. But, this blog is also a place to understand the positive benefits of this growth we experience. Hence, The Sunny Deposition was created.

I think I could provide a good chunk of knowledge to the world. Just about life. About love. About growth. About strength and weakness. About moving away for the first time. About finding the beautiful in the simple. About creating a life you’re proud of. (still working on that one, lol.)

I want this blog to hopefully be the start of something. Whatever it may be. Let it bring, what it brings.

Talk soon :)
